A long exposure shot of 123 seconds (i use the little stopper for this). Also used Nd grads to balance the lights. Because of the long shutter the waves hitting the shore seem to make a Z form. Shot in the twilight for the soft blue and purpleish tint. This shows the beauty in darkness. (I post this for photo of the month october? )

Augustss full moon. It was a dry summer last year, so the pond dryed out. This allowed me to take this shot, up close to the waterplants. I like to come close to my subject. The full moons light creates the perfect atmosphere for a night photograph. The fishing tribes are given credit for the naming of this Moon, since sturgeon, a large fish of the Great Lakes and other major bodies of water, were most readily caught during this month. A few tribes knew it as the Full Red Moon because, as the Moon rises, it appears reddish through any sultry haze. It was also called the Green Corn Moon or Grain Moon.

A typical seascape. Low tide creating a motion pattern on the beach. Sunset adding a nice warm glowth. In the background you also see a piece of the pier. Multi exposure.
